All RSU 21 5th graders will attend Julia Robinson Math Festival at University of New England with help from Mathematical Sciences Research Institute professionals.  The festival is a non-competitive event featuring math challenges and puzzles that require creativity and persistence to solve.  5th grade teachers, math teachers from MSK and KHS and KHS student mentors will participate as well.

Mobile carts outfitted with supplies allow students to cook in their classrooms.  Students grow produce in school gardens and can enjoy healthy foods while learning math, reading, geography and life skills.  This program aligns with district wellness initiatives.
